HTC HD2 Runs An Early Build Of Windows Phone 7 Series?

A Dutch website claims that the current Windows Mobile flagship superphone from HTC, the HD2, was spotted running an early build of the latest and greatest in mobile operating system from Microsoft, announced at the Mobile World Congress, at the same venue where 7 Series was announced!  Many have commented that the HD2 does indeed have what it takes to qualify for an upgrade, although to date both Microsoft and HTC have remained mum on the matter.  After all, if a 1GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM is insufficient to run 7 Series, I shudder to think what the requirements would be (precise details have still not been released by Microsoft; instead, they say more details will be revealed at the upcoming MIX conference in Las Vegas in March 2010). The early build running on the HD2 was said to be very fast, although many functions still did not work, such as the Zune multimedia functions.  That's about all that was written, the authenticity of the article is still in question (a little).  Meanwhile, Microsoft's official windowsphone Twitter account said that an announcement will be forthcoming at the MIX conference on the HD2's upgradeability to Windows Phone 7 Series - so, if you're a current HD2 owner, hope for some good news next month!
