Well, the phone has been released and we did not have to wait long for an unboxing. A couple of unboxing videos, to be exact, all embedded below. If you’re an Acer fan or a Glofish fan, you may want to check out the videos below. The A1 is Acer’s first Android smartphone, running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor neutered to 768MHz. Apparently Acer has stuff a user enhancement layer called Spinlets onto the A1, check out the videos below for details.

I must say that having watched both videos, the screen refresh is fantastic, and the scrolling very fast and smooth, so perhaps limiting the speed to 768MHz is not such a bad idea after all, as Android is not known to be a processor and memory hog.
The A1 Liquid is expected to be available in Malaysia by the end of this month or the next. No indication on pricing yet. Strangely, even though this is an Acer product, if you call Acer Malaysia they cannot help you; instead you will be directed to call Ace Mobile for enquiries. What gives?
camera and video cam is much2 snappier than my HERO. If 768Mhz already make it very smooth, imagine how fast it is on 1GHz!

I think HTC had made a very good web browser for HERO and that makes me think twice before buying another brand …so next upgrade, HTC Bravo!
P/S motorola milestone also looks very promising, but as usual wait for your review first!

@artic, yep – they did indeed. So I guess you’re sold on Android eh? While waiting for the super elusive iPhone3GS? At this rate, I think you’re better off waiting for the iPhone 4th gen next year la!
And Moto Milestone? I don’t think I’ll ever get the chance to play with a review unit, unless I buy one, and I’m certainly too poor for that now!

Yup, I sold my soul to HTC android already! hahaha! 3GS? its a tragic case, but now i have M*** couple with Ipod Touch, so no need la 3GS! hahaha!
just wait for 4th Gen Iphone next year! (even though I strongly believe that Maxis will not launch Iphone 4th Gen with prepaid at first due to profit making by most of the buyer!) Anyway I still hope for the best!
As for Milestone, I will pray that you managed to get one review unit!

@artic, no, after the misadventure with the prepaid iPhone3GS this year, Maxis is not going to be so silly to offer prepaid next year…and the MiFi does take away the need for an iPhone eh?
As for the Milestone, I have made some contact with the distributor, but normally distributors do not give out review units…sadly…
