Why The Nokia N900 Is Better Than The iPhone

apple vs nokiaNo, this is not my opinion, merely the opinion of a website I stumbled upon.  In the article, they spell out 15 reasons why the N900 is better than the iPhone3GS, and 5 reasons why the iPhone3GS is better than the N900.  Before I write (assuming I find enough motivation to write a long rebuttal!) about what I think, maybe you’d like to add what you think first.  There are some misleading claims in the 15 reasons why it’s better, but let’s see if you can spot them if you’re an existing iPhone user!  My short opinion at the moment is that the N900 perhaps has the potential to become a great phone, but we all know the success of a phone is not based on its potential!  Oh, and some of the 15 reasons are US centric, so for Malaysians, it may whittle down to around 12 reasons, and out of the 12, can be whittled down further due to inaccurate claims  ;-)

However, in the final analysis, this may be moot, because the N900 may not be available in Malaysia, as I pondered in this post.

Heard N900 already been shipped across the world (only targeting certain regions, Asia’s not included). Dam, the phone HAVE potential, but it’s stupid for them not to ship it over the world.

Maybe Maemo will be port into one of nokia C-Series

@Hawke, yep, the N900 is already shipping in Russia, parts of Europe and the Middle East, if I am not mistaken. You can check the Nokia Conversations link in the post that talked about why there is N900 for Asia.

C series? Let’s wait for them to announce it!

iPhone just need ONE reason to be ahead – Marketing. I think Apple have been very good in brainwashing via marketing, as in many folks out there that never used nor played, perhaps dont even know what iphone is capable of, are dreaming to own one. They just think iPhone is a WonderPhone. So, one reason is good enough for Apple, me think.
