Well, they do say that when it rains, it pours. Or, life has a habit of kicking you hard even when you’re down to see how you respond. I think. Hot on the heels of news that the Carphone Warehouse and phones4u suspending SonyEricsson’s flagship Satio smartphone from sales in the UK, comes news that a second, recently launched SonyEricsson model, the Aino, has issues as well. These issues are also reportedly software related, specifically, touchscreen related, and at the moment, is “only” affecting a “small” number of customers in the UK.
These two pieces of news are certainly not what a struggling company needs in difficult times. And coming at a time so close to the start of the holiday shopping season can only be a double blow to SonyEricsson.
Does anyone care, or have we moved on? ;-)
Please support SonyEricsson by buying their products during this difficult time. It is the sales & marketing department fault that led to this problem not R&D, they pressured the R&D to release “work in progress” Satio and Aino to battle the Koreans phones.
