Poor SonyEricsson (SE) owners. Buyers of its previous (and current?) Windows Mobile smartphone, the Xperia X1 have been told that they are not going to be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5, the latest mobile operating system released by Microsoft some weeks ago. Ouch.
To add insult to injury, the recently announced Nexus UI (where Nexus UI = Timescape and Mediascape, both found in the upcoming SonyEricsson Android X10 smartphone) will also not be available as an upgrade to owners of its current Symbian flagship, the Satio. This is despite the fact that Nexus is supposed to be platform agnostic, ie. it doesn’t matter what mobile operating system you are using, Nexus should be able to run on it, subject to the restrictions of the software development kit (SDK), which was released yesterday.
And in a devastating combo finishing move (sorry, I was a fan of the original Street Fighter arcade game, hence the analogy!), to kill of any remaining hardcore SE supporters, SonyEricsson has pulled back on its expected 10th February launch date for the X10 in the UK, contrary to earlier reports. When you get to the pre-registration page, you’re simply greeted by a “Expected launch: To be announced” description.
Oh, what a wonderful time it is to be a SonyEricsson flagship smartphone owner! And so close to the Yuletide season!
go figure i called them up to ask if i could port over from maxis where i have two bis acc one on main line one on supplementary. Their answer only main line allowed bis services not for supplementary !!! instead asking me to convert my supplementry into a main line. funny thing is their specialised store in digital mall told me i could add bis to as many supplementary lins as i want!!
