HTC On Pre-order In UK, Delivery 20th November?

Amazon UK has the new HTC HD2 aka Leo on pre-order, with an expected shipping date of 20th November.  The version on sale is what the Brits call the "SIM free" ie. unlocked version.  It sells for £549.99, approximately RM 3,053, with free shipping in the UK as well as a free mono Bluetooth mono headset. Meanwhile, Expansys UK is listing the HD2 at £499.99, approximately RM 2,775, even cheaper!  And this is the price including UK value added tax (VAT), the equivalent of our soon-to-be-implemented goods and services tax (GST).  Without the tax, it is even cheaper.  I am beginning to wonder if we can see the HD2 selling for below the RM 3,000 mark in Malaysia!  And the latest information I have is that it is still scheduled to arrive "sometime in November".  Can you wait till then, or will you import one yourself from the UK?  :D Source.

I'm waiting for
our Malaysians make a review of it and decide whether I should buy it or not. Very frustrating (dunwan endup like N97).

I believe high end phones always end up expensive espcially in Malaysia.My guess is this phone,will sell from $3000 and above.It's the most anticipated phone so far,but if the price is too steep,i may not want it.See how first............

@Hawke, don't worry, it won't end up like the N97.
Even the other high end s60v5, aka Symbian Touch phones didn't end up like the N97.
And HTC is very good at producing usable phones.

@Ken77, I really have no idea what the pricing will be, we'll just have to wait for the official launch, or maybe someone will tip us off on the actual pricing before launch!

I foresee is below RM3k , or even cheaper.....in taiwan also selling below RM3k.
this year is the HTC year to hit back iphone , and only can do is SELL SELL SELL...
if want more cheap , you should sell reasonable or even cheaper price.
HTC should learn from ACER....
i may consider to buy a share of HTC from taiwan , since the stock price is the lower because iphone took over lot of htc user like me and other also.

yup to tell you the truth im eyeing on this phone, omnia 2 and the iphone....these three only....first option would be this phone....then the iphone than the omnia2.......

you see dad......im not that good in tech stuff....using iphone one should know how to utilize it futher...i've been looking around the web and searching for info's about iphone still i can't understand what are people talking about......as for hd2 i think the ui is pretty simple.....no need to jailbreak( i thinklar hehehhe ) no need to have an account....no need to think about the overcharging data plan.....maybe you'll get what iphone are offer in HD2 (besides the appslah) speed, fluidity i think from the videos both of the phone are
quite the same.....and some more u have to wait in a waiting list for an iphone these days....i think thats my reason why i opted HD2 rather than the iphone.....but as i said before.....if it reaches 3000 or more than i will have to make do with an iphone and try to korek all the secret things about it

I realize the early phone from HTC was SUX big time. Now their all back to stage and I'm surprise with their phone now. :)

@skittlesz, ah, this is where you need to find someone who is well versed in both iPhone and Windows Mobile, in order for you to ask them questions, and for them to tell you why they think their WinMo/iPhones are the best devices for them.
We should avoid buying things blindly, especially high end stuff.
This is because what is good for someone may not be good for you, and vice versa.
So it is always best to ask around, and do proper research before purchase to avoid bad decisions!

ya will do....thanx dad for the reminder.....infact im not going to rush in buying this phone either....i'll wait a week or a month after the launch before deciding on buying it or not...as you said before ....do research first then decide.....:)
