The pocket-lint website reports that the SonyEricsson Satio, formerly known as the Idou, will launch in the UK in approximately a month’s time, on the 7th of October. The Idou is SonyEricsson’s Symbian phone, designed to go heads on with the Nokia N97 and the Samsung i8910 HD, both sporting the Symbian touch interface, aka s60v5. One of the major differentiators of the Satio is its 12 megapixel camera, coupled with a Xenon flash for picture taking and LED light for video recording. And here’s the specifications of the SonyEricsson Satio again, in case you’ve forgotten. I guess the claim about being available in “early Q4 in selected markets” has indeed come true. I’m keen to know how the interface is going to be different from the N97′s and i8910 HD’s, but not too keen to know the price!
