If you’ve been following me on Twitter, this is mostly known news to you by now. And no, in case you’re wondering, I was not fortunate nor rich enough to be in Stuttgart for the event, though I watched it live (that was how I got the information to share with you on Twitter). Without boring you too much, here’s what was confirmed:
- Nokia N97 Mini, rumoured for some time now, but only just acknowledged officially. Smaller version of N97, minus the navigation directional pad. Smaller screen. Bigger memory. In a word, better than the N97 except the screen. Price: €450, approximately RM 2,270.
- Nokia Booklet 3G = Nokia’s first netbook, running Windows 7, with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor (I’m not impressed), 12 hours battery life, built in WWAN. €575, approximately RM 2,900. Expensive. I’m personally avoiding it – the only bright spot here is the long battery life. This is made possible by the 16 cell battery. Yikes!! With this monster, how can the netbook still weigh 1.25 kg?
- Nokia X-6 and X-3. The X-series, as rumoured, is the replacement for the Xpressmusic line. The X-6 comes with an all you can eat, whether you want to eat it or not Comes With Music subscription, ie. you don’t have to pay anything extra for any music you want, which is in the store. Neat. The X-3 is the X-6’s smaller brethren. The X-6 will sell for €450 = RM 2,270, the X-3 for €115 = RM 579.

@Cris, sorry to hear that. This is totally unacceptable. Perhaps go to a “proper” service centre like the one in Plaza Berjaya in KL if you’re in KL?
