Buy A Samsung LED TV, Get A Free Netbook [UPDATED]

[UPDATE] Updated with a link to the N310 in the Samsun Malaysia website below.
samsung-logoActually since I don’t cover home entertainment products in this blog, it should have been titled “Samsung N310 Parachutes Into Malaysia Stealthily” but that was a mouthful and didn’t sound as good as the title up there.  But I digress.  So, yes, you read correctly – buy a new Samsung LED TVs and get a free Samsung netbook.  LED TVs are those really slimline TVs, much slimmer than the current crop of LCD and plasmas out there, and is apparently all the rage going forward, as they project better colours and are more energy saving.

And the Samsung netbook that is given away free is also not too shabby either – it’s the latest, at least in Malaysia, in the netbook line from Samsung – the N310, otherwise known as the “Samsung GO” in the US and some other parts of the world.  I’ve been wondering if the N310 had been released in Malaysia for some time now, and on my last visit to the IT malls in KL and PJ, could not find any on sale.  Anyway, whether this is officially available in stores now or not, I will try to find out from Samsung’s PR agency.  The retail price is supposedly RM 1,799, RM 100 more expensive than the current only other netbok – the N110 which retails at RM 1,699.

So there you go.  Semi-official confirmation that the Samsung N310, aka GO, is now available in Malaysia.  It’s in today’s Star newspaper, page N13.

[UPDATE]

And thanks to a reader, csng, here’s the link to the N310 in the Samsung Malaysia website.  And it’s funny how the N110 is labelled as “new” and the N310 is not, when the N310 is newer than the N110!  Thanks, csng!
