The symbianguru website continues their coverage of the N97, this time, covering the software which comes with the phone. If you recall, I posted about the hardware review of the N97 here. You can read the entire symbianguru N97 review series here. So, the bottomline: the current firmware version is not good. But the phone holds much promise, and hopefully a future rumoured firmware, coming in the third quarter, will fix many things wrong with the current version. Let me quote a section from the conclusion:
Overall, the current v10.0.0.12 firmware on the Nokia N97 is a complete mess, and Nokia needs to clean it up, quickly. They really needed this phone to launch solidly, and were *almost* there, with the phenomenal hardware and build quality, near simultaneous NAM/EURO launch, but they simply could not execute with a workable firmware.
The series has now concluded, with a conclusion here. Read it here to justify your purchase of the N97
